Welcome to Lakeside Theatre

Two actors in costume performing on stage, with one woman pointing her finger at a man who appears to be listening intently.

Fall

In the fall, Lakeside Theatre produces two one-act plays.  Each play is directed by one of our two directors, Greta Hayes and Lisa Bridges. In addition to performing at Lakeside Theatre in the fall, each of these shows competes in one of two statewide one-act competitions.  Ms. Hayes takes her show to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), which begins as a regional, one-day competition at a location in metro Atlanta.  Ms. Bridges competition is with the Georgia Theatre Conference, which is a multi-day event in October.

Spring

In the spring, Lakeside Theatre produces one musical production. Auditions for the spring musical begin in the fall and are announced here and through social media. As opposed to the fall, this is one production involving one cast and one crew. It is an exciting opportunity featuring the talented students of Lakeside High School.

Who Can Join?

The Lakeside Theatre Program is dedicated to providing students with hands-on experience in performance, technical production, design, and the collaborative process of creating live theater. We welcome all students—on stage or behind the scenes—to learn new skills, build friendships, and take pride in bringing stories to life for our community. Any Lakeside student is welcome to audition for the cast or apply to be part of the crew for any show.
